Who are we?

The Center for Harmonization of Human Rights is the successor to the Center for Harmonization of Human Rights and Intellectual Property Rights, founded in 2012 on the platform of the Research Institute of Intellectual Property of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine.
Since 2012, together with national patient organizations CO "100% Life - PLWH Network", CF "Patients of Ukraine" and in cooperation with international partners – UNDP, WHO, ITPC, the Center for Harmonization of Human Rights has launched an active campaign to promote patent reform in the field of medicine and pharmacy.

Today the Center conducts activities in the following realms:

    Women's Leadership: The Role of Women in War
    Advocacy of the best European practices in the field of human rights protection
    Reforming national healthcare legislation through the prism of patients' interests, public interests and human rights protection
    Strategic protection of the rights of people living with HIV and key populations
    Reforming legislation in the field of assisted reproductive technologies on the basis of respect for human dignity
    Protection of the rights of LGBT+ people
    Reforming criminal legislation based on European experience
    Reforming the legislation in the field of intellectual property with a focus on ensuring access to medicines
    Development of legislation in the field of clinical trials of medicines
    Ensuring the right to a safe environment
